Walter's confidential report for the Rockefeller Foundation detailing his first three years of sponsored research at the Central Pathological Laboratory, London (1935-1938). Describes the construction of the EEG machine; research on the inhibition of the alpha rhythm through visual stimulation; the discovery of delta waves and the localisation of cerebral tumours; the correlation of delta waves and epilepsy; EEG readings of patients treated with Cardiazol and the use of the EEG as a diagnostic technology in the neurosurgical treatment of epilepsy. Also describes work of L.C. Cook and Wylie McCissock.
