William Grey Walter, Report for the Rockefeller Foundation (1938)

Walter's confidential report for the Rockefeller Foundation detailing his first three years of sponsored research at the Central Pathological Laboratory, London (1935-1938). Describes the construction of the EEG machine; research on the inhibition of the alpha rhythm through visual stimulation; the discovery of delta waves and the localisation of cerebral tumours; the correlation of delta waves and epilepsy; EEG readings of patients treated with Cardiazol and the use of the EEG as a diagnostic technology in the neurosurgical treatment of epilepsy.
