Volume, paper, cord-bound with linen-covered card covers, Catalogue of Concrete Articles manufactured at Taunton Depot, also titled Taunton Concrete Depot Catalogue & Price List of Standard Articles on the title page, issued by the Chief Engineer's Office, Paddington Station, London, January 1948. Contains outline drawings and details of concrete items such as coal bins, fence posts, steps, channels, fireplaces, lintels etc. etc. made at the Taunton Depot. Copy belonged to the Regional Engineer.

Volume, paper with leatherette-covered card covers and linen binding, G.E.R. Engine Book, circa 1921. Made up of printed proforma pages filled in with engine numbers, class, wheel arrangement and dates new, with a note of how many were extant in the GER fleet in Jan. 1921. Copy weight diagrams are mounted on the opposite pages. Inserted in the back is copy correspondence of L.C. Bowers, of the Locomotive Stores, Cambridge MPD, in response to the queries of Mr. R. Justin about a J37, a petrol shunter and S44 class locos, 1958-1959. Therefore the book may have belonged to Mr. Bowers.

Three men hold the connecting rod, which is suspended from a crane, in position as the hammer falls. Another man stands in the background at the opposite side of the hammer. Signed at bottom right, "R Carr". Framed.

Depicts two fitters in a pit underneath a steam locomotive, probably in the stripping pit in the erecting shop. One man is knelt holding an iron bar against a wheel, while his colleague strikes it with a sledge hammer. Pinned to a stretcher frame.

Drawings and plans of Cambrian Railways stations and buildings etc., as follows: Aberystwyth, including water supply plans; Barmouth; Buttington, including proposed cottages; Cemmes Road; Devil's Bridge - proposals for pipes; Harlech; Newtown - stables; Pwllheli; Rhiwfron siding on Vale of Rheidol branch; Welshpool. Also sketch plan of bridge over the River Dulais, plan of a mishap near Abermule, Cambrian and Midland coach profiles, and a map for arbitration of tolls with the Midland Railway. Also plans of the following stations on the Tanat Valley Light Railway: Llanrhaiadr; Llanyblodwell; Penybont. The majority were made in the Cambrian Railway Engineer's Office. The drawings date between 1896 and 1918.

Book, paper with linen cover, Pictorial and Descriptive Guide to North Wales: Its Mountain Scenery and Watering Places, including a section on Aberystwyth, published by Ward Lock & Co. Ltd., London, 1898. Contains extensive information on travelling round North Wales by rail, including several maps of rail routes, and information on narrow gauge lines. The original owner covered the book with a linen cover held in place with thread on the inside with tape ties forming carrying handles. Affixed inside the front cover is a manuscript list of hotels with their tariffs in various towns decribed in the book, as well as a brief itinerary and notes of train times. The inside first page is inscribed in pencil "[Ol]iver St. Aubyn, Cranbury Avenue, Southampton" and "Llandudno June 1899." 355pp + several appendices of adverts including one of railway routes.
