Locomotive cabside plaque, brass, containing 2 gold medals, North Eastern Railway, Paris Exhibition 1900. Awarded to the N.E.R. for 'S' class 4-6-0 No. 2006, built at Gateshead Works in 1899. The medals were mounted on the cabside of the locomotive in this plaque. No.2006 was withdrawn in June 1931 after running 745,850 miles. Dimensions: 9"x6"x1".
