Letter from Bennet Woodcroft to Francis Trevithick regarding Robert Wilson and Puffing Billy

Bennet Woodcroft of the Patent Office Museum in reply to a letter of 9 March. Enclosed with the letter is a copy of an inscription on ‘Puffing Billy’ at the Patent Museum and all the information Woodcroft could find about Robert Wilson (in the form of a letter addresses to William Michell). Woodcroft suggests that Francis should enlist ‘a literary man of scientific attainments’ to help him get his papers for Richard Trevithick’s biography in order. (2 sheets/6pp.)
