Mr. Robert Wylie of Newcastle states that the engine he had previously mentioned to Joseph Armstrong was made in Gateshead by John Steel who had been employed by Richard Trevithick in Wales. Wylie therefore had no doubt that the plans for the engine came from Trevithick. (1 sheet/2pp.)
