Letter from Frederick Trevithick to Francis Trevithick Regarding Recollections of Richard Trevithick's Steam Engine

Letter giving details of the recollections of a Mrs. Humblestone:: ‘Mrs Humblestone...remembers to have seen father’s steam engine go through Oxford Street. That all the shops were closed and that quantities of people were on the roofs of the houses and handkerchiefs were waved...surely however such a fuss could not have been made as she describes without some full report of it appearing...’. Frederick Trevithick was Francis' brother. (1 sheet/4pp.)
