Three-cylinder Anzani aeroplane engine. (Three stay rods BOS March 1930 and scrapped).

Three-cylinder Anzani aeroplane engine. This engine is similar to that fitted in the Bleriot XI monoplane that made the first channel crossing in 1909. It was based on a similar engine used in motor cycles. Effective balancing of the reciprocating parts was effected by balance weights in the two discs opposite the crank pin. This type of engine was fitted to the Bleriot XI monoplane that made the first crossing of the English Channel.
