English Electric Co. Ltd. / British Railways (Eastern Region) instruction book "English Electric Type 4 Locomotives Locomotive Operating Instructions and Fault Finding for Drivers". Film Strip edition, originally issued in conjunction with the filmstrip covering the first ten English Electric Type 4 locomotives numbered D200 to D209. Second edition issued September 1960 to make the book applicable to English Electric Type 4s of later manufacture. The book consists of frames from the filmstrip, with explanatory text and notes.

One file on Brush Type 4 and other locos: English Electric Co cost and weight estimates Feb-March 1962, English Electric (EE) estimates for uprating 100 Type 1 locos with 8CSVT engine October 1968, EE estimates for re-engining type 4s and EE estimate for conversion of Type 1 loco to 5’3” gauge for UT. Two AEI Trafford Park files on 0206 LION type 4 2750 h.p. prototype. BRCW/Sulzer/AEI, including reports and correspondence sent from Trafford Park May 1960 to March 1966. Inspectors report August 1958 on 10203 supercharger failures. Correspondence on EE export locomotives spares for diesel electrics, Belgrano Railway, Argentina and a Iraq Railways photograph album.
