Lantern slides, 148 black & white and colour lantern slides, showing the work of the British Railways Soil Mechanics / Earthworks Department, 1960s. Includes landslips, testing rigs, lineside fires, soil mechanics graphs, etc. Each slide is titled, most are dated and most bear at least one number.
