Oertling, London; the Oertling firm made chemical assay and bullion balances and was hydrometer maker to the Inland Revenue. Box bears name ?Geo. Owen, Smethwick; George Owen was chief inspector of weights and measures for the county borough of Smethwick and member of the executive council of the Incorporated Society of Inspectors of Weights and Measures]
