The sub-fonds contains six series, Reports (GEC/1/1), Correspondence (GEC/1/2), Files (GEC/1/3), Quality Standards (GEC/1/4), Training (GEC/1/5) and Minute Books (GEC/1/6). Records include technical and internal reports for both internal and external companies as well as seminar and symposium reports for GEC Traction and its predecessor companies, correspondence and publicity material, project, technical, research and course note files, departmental standards and procedures files and training manuals, course notes and minute books for the period 1920-1993.
