Footage taken apparently in 1996 in GEC Alsthom-Metro-Cammell workshop of the building of the 1996 stock for the London undergound.
The footage taken inside the workshop shows the work in progress, from the men working on wooden structure of the units to the finished cars laid outdoors by the workshop. The footage details the work, and focus especially on the electrical work, with the setting of electrical and electronic components, setting of electric doors with automatic opening, tests run by Electrical test department, there are shots of interior of unfurnished and furnished wagons, shots of workers inside units and under lifted cars.
