My dear Sir
There is Some Serious misunderstanding about the L & B Bill.
The story is too long for a note and as Sopwith is staying with me you must come and spend a good evening with

us, but as my duties as President during the early part of next week will nearly use me up I must ask you to put off a visit until the Monday or Wednesday of the following week. I conclude you have got an invitation for the Conversatione on Tuesday, if not don't stand on ceremony and come.
