The Newton Engine at The 4th Septr. 1833 Engine new 1831]
The Small Wheels were nearly new [illegible]
The Large Wheels Tire was about half worn. The Wheels are nearly new and had about four months ware.
The Crank Axletree was new & had been at work about one Fortnight. There is a new Crank axle now & of a Strong Discription at Work four Months.
The Fire Box had been at work two years in a Bad State & was made of Iron. The Fire Box altogether new & the Interior Pail if Copper.
The Tubes were of copper and in a bad State of Repair & a few of Iron. Iron Tubes with Brass Ends at work.
The Cylinder in need [illegible] Repair. Cylinders same state of Repair.
The Brasses [illegible], two thirds wore.
Iron Tubes 16 ea old 2 Brass Cylind at 1/3 lbs ea

The Achilles - 11 Inch Cylinders 16 Inch Stroke
The small wheels were [illegible] much & some broken Spokes. New Small Wheels.
The Large Wheels, the Tire was wore down, the wheels are the same. New Large Wheels.
The Crank axletree in good repair have been at work for some few months. The Crank axletree new.
The Fire Box was all iron & had some Crank in it much wore. New Fire Box.
The Tubes were of Copper about one half wore. New Tubes of Iron Brass Ends.
The Cylinders were in good working order. The same?
Brasses about half wore.
