Copy of a letter from Mr G.H. Stafford to Professor E.W.J. Mitchell

Mr Stafford thanks Professor Mitchell for sending him a copy of a letter sent to David Thatcher, and states that he has heard that Daresbury is studying possible machines for producing synchrotron radiation. Mr Stafford informs Professor Mitchell that the EPIC machine produces substantial synchrotron radiation. There is an accompanying document relating to synchrotron radiation calculations which provides a comparison between the synchrotron radiation-producing machines NINA, EPIC, DESY, and DORIS, in regards to energy, bending radius, peak current, and other factors.
