The letters found in the file are addressed to David Thatcher, Secretary of the SRC, and also contains a copy of the letter sent by Thatcher to the scientists. Those that have responded voice their support for a synchrotron source, and some provide further comments on what they would like to see in regards to equipment and facilities. The file also contains a list of scientists that were contacted and whether they acknowledged and replied.
