Dr Forty informs Dr Farge that he also believes that plans should be prepared if users from the UK wish to be involved in experiments taking place at LURE, but so far there does not seem to be much demand from UK scientists to participate in such activity. This is partly because there is a very good chance that a new storage ring will be approved at Daresbury, but also because the majority of UK scientists are conducting work that cannot be fulfilled by the ACO machine at LURE.
