Shows Stephenson's Standard Patent 6-wheeled engine of the period generally resembling the engine illustrated in Marshall's description of the Patent Locomotive Steam Engine of Robert Stephenson & Co 1838, and illustrated by Tredgold in "The Steam Engine". There are differences in detail, the wheel spokes are shown as of wrought iron, the dome is placed behind the chimney which is fitted with a spark arrester. Drawing reference - 118.
