Mr. Stephenson directed Mr. Budden to charge Profit & Loss with £500. - Five Hundred Pounds Crediting himself with the same as a gratuity out of the profits of the concern in the years 1845, 1846, 1847 & 1848 - during which period Mr. Budden had superintended the office department of the Factory _
