Dear Sir,
I am in receipt of your note and will see [illegible] MP upon it.
Ld. Zetland says he will not object to the purchase money remaining unpaid & to bear interest at 4 PC but he wishes me to write to Mr. Goodford & to get the consent of the Trustees. He says I may tell them that he agrees to it. I will attend to this.

[Page 2]

As to the Hotel Foundation I suppose you will see Ld. Zetland and get his views.
I hope my journey may enable me to overcome the effect of Parliamentary contests to some extent. I think there is as clear way for me to be absent a little time without anything suffering.

General Meetings area
Dividends paid
Finances easy
S & Durham Shares conveyed
S & D New Shares conveyed

I remain
Yours Respectfully
Thos. Macnay

H Pease Esq. MP
