Dear Sirs,
We have now the pleasure to accept your offer to supply us with about 2 acres of land attached to our Works & at present known as the Bond Pond, and bounded on the south by our present Works, on the West by the Railway Siding, on the East by Lord Harewood’s property, and on
the North by such a line as will enclose the amount stated above.
The price to be £1000 per acre, and the interest to be paid by us on the purchase money to be as follows.
During the first 2 years 2 per cent
‘’ the third year 3 per cent
‘’ the fourth year 4 per cent
‘’ the fifth year 4 ½ per cent
‘’ the sixth year and after so long as the purchase money is not paid -- 5 per cent
As it will take some time to measure off the land and draw up the agreement we propose that the purchase shall not be completed & interest commenced till June 1st. Next.
