It was a great mortification to me to be unable to attend the late interesting meeting at Darlington. I hope however that you will not refuse me the gratification, of purchasing the book which would have been placed by me if I had been able to attend

the Banquet. You will oblige me very much if you will favour me with it. I conclude it is not for sale -- believe me.
