Dear Sir,
The Chairman of this Company makes me to express to you the very great pleasure he experienced in attending the interesting festival at Darlington last week, and his very sincere thanks for the admirable arrangements made for the occasion which enabled him to join in the various ceremonials with comfort & convenience notwithstanding the immense concourse which had been assembled. And I would venture & add similar acknowledgements

on the part of [illegible] own Engines & for myself, who had also the gratification of being present.
We were sincerely pleased that so important a meeting convened with as much trouble & liberality proved in its results so entirely successful.
I am Dear Sir
Yours faithfully
