At a Meeting at the Works, Newcastle
9th Sept. 1848

In consequence of the lamented demise of George Stephenson Esq. C. E the interest of that gentleman now merges in that of Robert Stephenson Esq. M. P.
The statement prepared by the Cashiers has been produced & examined.
The assets comprise the Sum of £8000 - being the Bonds and Debentures of the Norfolk Railway Co
Said Bonds being now considered due - It is agreed that these be divided
£4000 - to Robert Stephenson
£4000 - “ Edward Pease
Said parties to be debited accordingly and the old Profit & Loss Account of the Partnership as heretofore subsisting to be credited by said payment. It is however understood that the liquidation of

said Bonds is left under the care of Edward F Starbuck as being a party to the understanding upon which they were originally accepted in account
