A glass photographic negative entitled 'Lord Kitchener leaving Deal Castle after calling', taken by Edgar Tarry Adams in August 1902. The photograph shows Lord Kitchener (1850-1916) leaving Deal Castle in Kent.
Lord George Hamilton (1845-1927), an MP and Secretary of State for India was the Captain of Deal Castle at the time. Lord Kitchener played an important part in commanding the British Army in the Boer War (1899-1902)
