Mounted photographic prints of rowing boats, sailing boats and ships

A collection of loose, mounted photographic prints developed from glass plate negatives taken by Edgar Tarry Adams, but also some possibly by Edgar's children Francis Norris Adams, Isabel Adams or Pauline Adams.

Images comprise mostly of undated, miscellaneous images of rowing boats, sailing boats and ships such as people posing for photographs on board ships, on rowing boats and at the beach, large ships and sailing boats at sea, images on board ships or below deck and crowds watching the launch or arrival of ships. Also includes images of named vessels ‘Laura Williamson’ of Leith and 'Marie Therese' at Douarnenez.

A small amount are annotated and/or dated by Edgar Tarry Adams but the majority would need to be matched up with the corresponding glass plate negative for context or dates
