Photographic prints of the military, Navy or Naval Cadets

A collection of thirty-two unmounted and mounted photographic prints developed from glass plate negatives taken mostly by Edgar Tarry Adams, but also some by Edgar's children Francis Norris, Isabel and Pauline.

Prints comprise mostly of undated, miscellaneous images of the military, navy or naval cadets from the early 20th Century, including images of Naval Cadet meetings or drills, groups of men in military uniform, groups of men in Navy uniform, a group of injured soldiers, a military parade, a man in military uniform in an office with gun, Naval Cadets in boats, the Royal Marines barracks at Walmer, a Naval cutter with crew and Edgar Tarry Adams with family, plus more.

A small number of prints are annotated and/or dated by Edgar Tarry Adams but the majority would need to be matched up with the corresponding glass plate negative for context or dates
