Surveying the Brent Foundations – thought them good – Piling unnecessary.

Tuesday 9
Left London for Birmingham about Mr. Kenzies Contract.
Arrived in Birmingham saw Mr. Kenzies & Mr. Gooch in the Evening.

Wednesday 10
At Birmingham –saw Capt. MorrsoM, consulted him respecting Mr. Kenzies wrote several letters to Newcastle. Spent [illegible] & c & c

Thursday, September 11, 1834
Met Birmingham Committee settled with the Directors concerning Mr. Kenzies.
Agreed to give him £6000 in advance of the Tendered Sum.

Friday 12
The above should be entered this day.

Saturday 13
Returned to London.

Sunday 14
At Church – heard a good sermon.
