Writing letters to Creed and met Mr. Adams at the Bedford Office at 3 o’clock respecting extension to Euston Square.
Tuesday 25
At Watford examined Bridge – Tunnel and examinations in Nowell and Copeland Contracts Illegible that the trial well near the Colne could be discontinued.
Wednesday 26
Attended Board in Cornhill – recommended Birkinshaws increased salary – got power to order necessary materials for carrying on Contract No. 1B.
Reported progress to Board of Contracts 1.2.3 1B.

At St. John’s Wood in the morning – left for Stony Stratford in the Evening.
Heard of the Watford Tunnel giving [illegible] considered it if left be consequence.
Friday 28
At Stony Stratford completing plans for the Depositing of the Deviations and extensions of the L& B Railway.
Saturday 29
At Stony Stratford completed plans & left in the Evening for Coventry with Mr. Parker & Mr. Gooch.
Sunday 30
At Coventry with Mr.Gooch – walked over a portion of the line.
