At Birmingham, saw Capt. Moorson - examd. progress at Lawley St. Viaduct.
Thought favourably of the foundations – returned to London by the Eveng Coach.

Tuesday 2
At Hampstead & St. John’s Wood agreed [illegible] – wrote some letters.

Wednesday 3
Attended Board at Cornhill – obtained £12 for Foxley on A/c. of his Brickmaking account.
Saw Mr. Ralston & complained of Snyder.
Promised to write to Ch. Taylear & Co. about Tender.

Mr. Durkin called about Wolverton Viaduct – he considered the abutment too weak.

St. John’s Wood writing letters – report on Rails.
Saw the Whitby Stone Quarry Co.
Mr. Gibbs – Lady Glengall’s Solicitor called respecting Jackson’s affairs
