At main factory all day arranging [illegible] for Engine & c [illegible] of L’pool.
Arranged several matters with Mr. Snyder.

Tuesday 23
At main factory all day – Thomas Harrison called upon me – Dined at the Natural Hart. S.G. dinner.

Wednesday 24
At Stanhope & Tyne Rway office settled with Manners & Harrison about an account – They promised to wave all claims for damages from delay.

At Bedlington dined with Mr. Longridge Hutchinson accompanied me – ordered Boiler for London Engine.


Friday 26
[illegible] at R.S.&Co. office – settled the a/c amended by T.J.Harrison who examined and approved the extent for the [illegible] Engine and Inclined Plane.

Saturday 27
Wrote letters to Directors of Stanhope & Tyne Rway.
Dined with Hardcastle, Stanton & Wood.
Gave Wood calculations for Rail of equal strength [illegible]

Sunday 28
Left NCastle for London.
