Many of the early members of the Physical Society were teachers at various levels and the founder, Professor Guthrie FRS, designed a course of practical work for pupil teachers. The exhibition celebrating the Centenary of the Physical Society and called Phonographs to Holographs is now open at the Science Museum'.
