The series includes retrospectively written illustrated diaries for the years 1825–1856 and 1874–1893; a printed volume titled Extracts from the Diary of the late David Joy; drawings and prints from Joy’s collection, including material relating to his patent hydraulic organ blower; drawings of the Jenny Lind locomotive; small prints and sketches of locomotive engines and tenders; and articles, correspondence, lists, notes, and obituary and other material relating to Joy’s death.
