Handwritten letter of condolence from W. Howard Head, written on embossed Peel Street Studio stationery and addressed to Mrs [Kate] Joy following the death of her husband, the engineer David Joy. Head conveys sympathy on behalf of himself and his wife, recalling Joy’s personal kindness and his longstanding friendship with Head’s parents. He asks to be informed of the time and place of the interment so that he may attend.
