Dear Sirs
We will thank you to let us know for the information of the Trustees of the Melksham Turnpike Road what are the intentions of the Wilts & Somerset Railway Company with reference to this Road & as to the manner in which the Road is proposed to be carried over the Railway, and what is the determination of the Company with regard to what passed between Mr Ludlow Bruges & Mr Brunel in London the beginning of last month as the Trustees cannot decide whether they can sanction the tasks which the Company have begun until they are informed of the intentions of the Company on these points.
We are Dear Sirs
Yours
M&G

PS In addition to any statement explanatory of the intentions of the company a plan we think would be most useful. -

Messrs H & J Awdry
