Dear Sir
I do not think it will be in the power of the W S & W Railway company to reduce the gradient on the Melksham side of the Bridge at Thurnhold (if they are compelled to rise 22 feet 3 inches as stated) to one in 30 without great outlay and considerable injury to ±he buildings. I will look over the SEction when I come down and see the effect of one in 27 - Yrs truly
