One 11.5 x 9 inch, black and white print stamped ‘A John Chillingworth Original’ with reference ‘10 Mar 1957/3/5A.’ The image shows two workers seated next to a shower of sparks coming from the Bessemer at Ebbw Vale Works, Wales. It was taken for consideration of appearing in the picture story “Men at Work: The Bessemer Platform,” June 1958 issue, pp. 30-33, but was not published.
The print has a yellow job sticker on the reverse with the following details: Job: INGOT mag, Date out: 14.3.58, Screen: 120, Height and width: S/S. White lines have been added to the image to show where to crop for publication. The reverse side contains a ‘Copyright of the British Steel plc’ stamp and a stamp for the British Steel plc records centre Irthlingborough with location number given as ‘1562 852c1b1.’
