Photographs, contact sheets and negatives by Peter Hewitt for INGOT picture story "Trade Route Under the Channel"

Images taken by Peter Hewitt, on behalf of Richard, Thomas & Baldwins Ltd, for the September 1958 issue of INGOT magazine. Some of the images are published in the picture story “Trade Route Under the Channel” by Correlli Barnett and Rolt Hammond, pp. 8-12. The article discusses the economic and physical surveys to determine the feasibility of establishing a trade route under the channel.

This series contains three photographic prints which were published in the above picture story and five prints which were not published. It also contains thirty-seven negatives, five contact sheets and one photographic print order form
