Four black and white contact sheets by Peter Hewitt, on behalf of Richard, Thomas & Baldwins Ltd, containing images to be considered for use in the September 1958 issue of INGOT magazine. Images include various shots of some walls containing fossils, one of which is taken in the village of West Halton; walls with a church in the background; a passing stream train; a road near Crosby mine alongside a small waterway; a house with a large tree in front.
Three of the images have been published in the picture story “The Frodingham Ironstone” by Philip Nunan. These include one image of fossils in rock (page 13), the road near Crosby (page 16) and the image of an ironstone wall with a church in the background (page 16). Originally housed within an envelope marked ‘Mr Mason’
