One 11.5 x 8 inch, black and white print by John Chillingworth showing a worker at Ebbw Vale performing the routine operation of skimming zinc baths during the Armco-Sendzimir method of continuously galvanizing steel strip. In the background, the line operator (right) talks to the foreman and the assistant manager (centre). The image appears in the picture story “Men at Work: The Galvanizing Line,” September 1958 issue, p. 36.
The print has a yellow job sticker on the reverse with the following details: Job: INGOT, Date out: 16.8.58, Screen: 120, Width: 11 13/16 Width: 8 11/16. Pencil marks on the reverse indicate where the photograph should be cropped for publication
