Original folder titled 'Trade Corporations 1958' containing correspondence with Sino-British Trade Council, China Import and Export Corporation, Chinese Embassy and Chinese suppliers regarding importing 2-4 million pencils for pocket diaries including samples, a deal that ultimately fell through (1974-1975); letterpress printing ink (1974); importing various products from China such as rabbit fur hats, guitars, lacquerware, cargo vessels, drilling rigs, furs, rice and other foodstuffs, electric light bulbs, iron ore, exporting gas turbines, fertilisers, petrol engines, electric locomotives, road sweepers, hand tools etc. (1958-1959); importing creosote oil and foundry coke from China to Sudan and confectionary glucose from Sudan (1958-1959).
