A file containing two sub-files from different eras: a collection of documents relating to China and Kenneth Cantlie's career addressed to Hugh Cantlie between 1998 and 2013 and a file of letters to Kenneth Cantlie from his father Sir James in the 1920s. Letters from Sir James (1851-1926) are from between 1920 and 1924 when Kenneth Cantlie was employed by the Argentinian railway (some dated posthumously in pencil by Hugh Cantlie) and contain news of the family, such as the death and funeral of Lady Mabel Cantlie (1860-1921), Kenneth's mother; also a few letter from 1917. See file CANT/1/100 for Kenneth Cantlie's copy letters to his father from the same era.
