Records of interest or railwayana items collected by the Worthingtons that are not directly connected to the engineering careers of either Samuel Barton Worthington or William Barton Worthington. The material includes papers relating to the Kelso–Berwick Railway (1809, 1824); East Lothian Railway (1825–1826); Forth of Clyde–Stirling Railway (1826–1827); Clydesdale–Glasgow Railway (1828); Liverpool & Manchester Railway (1824, 1836); proposals for a new railway station at Hunt’s Bank, Manchester; the Manchester Ship Canal (1835–1894); and Railway Chronicle travel charts, c.1840–1850.
