Copy letter from J E Errington to S E Bolden, Secretary to the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway Company

Acknowledging receipt of the minutes of the Lancaster & Carlisle Board’s Locomotive Committee of the 6th November 1855, in reference to the change in the mode of obtaining locomotive service for the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway. Errington suggests that the Locomotive Committee will only be able to secure a sufficient supply of good quality stock by claiming a proportion of the North Western stock already in use on the railway. He recommends having the stock currently working the line classified and valued as soon as possible
