Copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway Board, that the suggestion to take a total of 40 engines from the London & North Western stock be adopted, and that the Locomotive Committee take steps to order 20 new engines from competent contractors before the expiration of the present contract with the London & North Western Railway Company
