Copy agreement that the Lancaster & Preston Junction Railway will sell 100 rails to John Allen

The agreement specifies that ‘this Company will sell, and that Mr John Allen will purchase, (100) one hundred rails of 16 feet long each and weighing 65lbs per lineal yard – The price per ton to be declared by Mr Worthington, Resident Engineer to the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway Company, according to the price of rails on this day allowing for carriage’. It is signed by R C Rawlinson, Secretary, and John Allen
