Copy letter from S. B. Worthington to the Locomotive Committee of the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway advising that, in accordance with the instruction of the Board, he proceeded to London and met with Mr Errington on Wednesday regarding the proposed change in obtaining locomotive service for the line. Worthington reports that Errington will submit a formal report once he has had the opportunity to confer with Mr Locke, but that his present opinion is to recommend taking a proportion of the stock currently used in working the line from the London & North Western Railway Company.
