Copy letter from Edmund Sharpe to William Jackson replying to Jackson’s notice of the probable termination of the London & North Western Railway’s contract for working the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway. Sharpe states that Messrs Fairbairn & Sons would, in all probability, be willing to join him in an offer to work the traffic of the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway on the same or reduced terms, subject to the conditions set out in the letter being met.
