Reply to Jackson’s letter informing him of the probable termination of the London & North Western contract for working the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway. Sharpe suggests that Messrs Fairbairn and Sons will in all probability be willing to join him in an offer to work the traffic of the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway on the same or reduced terms, upon the conditions set out in this letter being met
