Copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway Board adopting the suggestion to take a total of 40 engines from the London & North Western Railway stock. The Board further resolves that the Locomotive Committee take steps to order 20 new engines from competent contractors before the expiration of the present contract with the London & North Western Railway Company.
